Winter

Winter in its somber white suit
Has covered my world
Allowing sleep to come to Mother Earth
So Mother’s plants can slumber
Tucked under a blanket of snow
Taking a rest from yearly woes
Napping

Soon Mother Earth will awake
Roots to fill with new life
They will bring forth blooms and leaf
We will welcome spring with great relief
In fashion colors under sunny skies
The world below will soon arise
Awake
